  • Visible redness along the orbital area
  • Swollen eyes

  • Blepharitis (chronic inflammation of the eyelid)
  • Glaucoma (a disease in which the optic nerve is damaged and can lead to progressive, irreversible loss of vision)
  • Excessive tearing
  • Thyroid problems affecting lash growth – causing hair loss
  • Asthma (patients may be sensitive to the adhesive odor)


  • If you have contact lenses we ask that you please remove them prior to beginning the treatment.
  • Avoid using eye make-up on the day of your appointment


For the first 48 hours following the procedure, it is important that patients follow these directions in order to maintain optimal results:

  • Do not wet your eyes
  • Do not apply creams, lotions or makeup around the eyes
  • Do not apply mascara to the lashes
  • Do not tan
  • Do not enter a sauna or steam room
  • Do not sleep on your face
  • Do not rub the eyes
  • Do not play or touch your lashes
  • Do not utilize eyelash curlers

After the first 48 hours the patients must follow these directions listed below:

  • Do not excessively rub your eyes
  • Do not play with, pick at, or touch your lashes
  • Do not sleep on your lashes
  • Do not apply waterproof mascara
  • Do not use oil-based cleansers or makeup
  • Do not frequently visit saunas or steam rooms, or otherwise expose your lashes too frequently to heat or steam
  • Never let the shower spray directly on the lashes
  • Do not utilize eyelash curlers
